Facebook notifications on V30

Does anybody find a really, really annoying loud DING sound whenever they get a facebook notification on their V30? This is the first time I've ever seen this on a phone. And it appears there is absolutely no way to turn this off through the facebook app. The only thing that seems to work is turning off your ringtone volume which is really stupid. Anybody?

Don't use Facebook, but for any notification; long press on the notification should take you to a switch to turn it off.
