Facebook notifications

My father has a galaxy s5 and keeps getting notifications from Facebook but he doesn't have a Facebook account or Facebook on his phone I use Facebook and messager is there away to stop it he's about to break his phone it's got him that p.o.ed Any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you

What do the notifications look like? Are they in the status bar, or are they popup windows?
