Facebook Push Notifications

Has anyone got their Facebook notifications working?

I'm getting nothing, no badge, no push just updates when I go into the app and into the notification part.

I've checked and push notifications are all set.

I've so called uninstalled and reinstalled but no difference

Good thinking, but no. Even with my s7 I never had the issue.

Not getting mine until tonight, so hopefully someone can chime in before that, but if not, I'll set it up and let you know if I'm having the same issue.

Does it happen on both WiFi and mobile data? (The app has had bugs in the past where notifications weren't working unless you were on WiFi)

I am having the same problem. And not just with Facebook. NO notification badges for Words with Friends, FB Messenger, etc. I've tried everything that I can think of. Any ideas anyone?

It was like this on my s8plus with the oreo beta and continues with the s9plus. must be something with Facebook.

You may have to go into Settings, and Notifications, and do app by app settings. I usually don't enable notifications for many apps, just a select few, so I manually do this all the time. Although you might have notifications set up in the app itself, there is a system level permission you must give to allow notifications. And you can choose to include sound, lock screen, app badge. I have only had my S9 since last night so haven't received any FB notifications yet, but I have had badges on my TypeApp email, Textra, and Instagram. I'm on the web now missing my phone because I work in a jail and we can't have them inside *boo*

Also I'm upgrading from an S7 Edge so I have no experience with Oreo lol.

I am wondering if it is because i used Samsung smart switch, although now they are not working on my S7 Either

Okay, i think i understanf what is going on.

I was expecting push notifications for anything that prompts an in app notification, however when i read the in app notifications settings descriptions, that is not the case.

It would seem i only get PUSH notifications when I am mentioned or tagged.

All other notifications are just in app ones and does not buzz my phone or anything.

Mine are working fine. Like the above post says, however, 'Likes' and minor notifications will not show as Push ones, just show inside the app. But for mentions, comments in your posts/pictures, tags, etc., it's working OK. Same for Messenger. T-Mobile variant.

I am not getting badge notifications though, should I be even if it is not a push notification?
