Facebook Sync Questions

So I have not tried this at all, and I am a little afraid.

If I turn on Facebook Sync (contacts--under Accounts & sync) what will happen? Will all FB contacts be imported into my addressbook? Or only the ones already in my addressbook? Will photos import from FB?

If I hate the FB sync, can I turn it off without f^@%ing up my addressbook? In other words, can I revert to the exact way it was before I enabled sync?

BTW, I have searched and the answers to my specific questions do not really appear to have been discussed.

All assuming you're talking about the sync provided by the official Facebook app:

It won't import them in your address book per se - by that I mean, it won't copy them into your gmail address book.

They WILL show up in your Contacts on your phone, and in fact if Contacts detects that a Google contact has the same e-mail address as a Facebook contact, it will join both together and show you the latest facebook update right in the contact card, as well as add a Facebook button when you press on the contact's icon anywhere (say, in Messaging, when you press the contact's icon and you get choices for texting, calling, etc).

Moreover, you can choose between syncing all your facebook contacts, or just syncing those that are already in your address book (based on email address).

Thanks, Patrix. One more question: If I turn off FB sync, will it revert to the way the addressbook was before? In other words, will the FB parts go away without a trace?
