Facebook Sync

Is there a way to sync my Facebook contacts so my friends fb pictures link in my contacts, BUT I do not want my phone to sync all the birthdays and events from facebook to my calendar. It seems I can only do both. Is there an option to opt out of the events sync while opting in for the contact sync???

This is the way to opt out of having Facebook events on your calendar while still maintaining Facebook sync:

First OPEN Calendar.

Then click on the MENU button on the bottom left of your phone.
(the button with the 3 horizontal lines next to the HOME button)

Next, click on More
(...)

Then click on Calendars
You should see a list that should allow you to select or deselect Facebook, make
sure Facebook is not checked.

The check mark should not be red.
