Question Unable to save recent numbers called

Hello folks,

Not an easy one to Google as lots of sync threads pop up, this is a bit different and at times intermittent.

If I receive or make a call and wish to add a new contact the option is not there, icon turns green to indicate number has been selected but only option is to delete using waste bin at the footer.

On rare occasions it does give the drop down to add anew contact which works fine, default is my Google account which is trimmed regularly, i.e less than 30 contacts at any one time.

Usually there's a YouTube fix for common issues but nothing on this one so far unless searching fro the wrong thing.

Sorry bud, just realised hadn't included that with my original post

I use the stock dialer included with the phone

I checked the phone app, couldn't see a version number, permissions all okay and toggle to remove permissions if unused switched off.

I may have solved it inadvertently, just by going into the permissions menu and checking seems to reactivate access, works fine no problems at all.

Perhaps its because I don't use this feature a lot it somehow loses access, viewing the menu brings it back again.

Yup, that seems to have worked, as above just by going into the permissions settings without changing anything it 'wakes' up, works flawlessly.
