as dwayne said usually a few minutes to an hour, but if you have alot of frineds or are in a low signal area it could take up to a day

have about 4800 friends, and its been signed in for 2 days and alot of contacts still havent come over, do i need to logout and back in?

Of these 4800 contacts do all 4800 have phone numbers? It is my understanding it ONLY syncs contacts with valid phone numbers on their accounts that are shown public to friends.

It will sink all info known to friends. Its going to take some time.
