Factory Data Reset Problems

I have the unlocked version of Note 9. It has been hooked up to verizon wireless since day 1. Never any problem using Verizon apps.

Now since reset Verizon folder of apps is gone.

Worst of all I have no voicemail app. There is one listed under apps but it is not in app drawer and there is no way to use it.

Anybody know what to do?

I have to have a voicemail app that works. I am totally freaked out by this.

Whew. After an hour of going nuts I left a voicemail for myself from my landlines and like magic the visual voicemail app downloaded itself and works fine.

I'm still missing a folder full of verizon apps but voicemail was the most important.

The My Verizon app is screwed up too but whatever.

I thought it was normal for an unlocked phone to be missing carrier apps?

You should be able to download them from the Play Store.

You'll have to add those Verizon apps if restore didn't do that , unlocked version after factory reset won't load them only carrier phones do.

BTW, Smart Switch saved me hours but there is still so much to do. I won't know until something doesn't work. Now I have to find where to turn on Hey Google command

isn't there a way to download Verizon apps through My Verizon app? I seem to remember getting them that way several years ago.
