I'd like to completely go back to the original factory configuration on my Infuse. I had it rooted and would like to know if I format the memory card, internal memory and do a factory reset - would that bring me to the original out of the box configuration? Are there any traces (left over files, configuration) left over from the root even if I do this? Thanks for any help.

Yes. If your phone is rooted and you factory reset, your phone will still be rooted. You have to unroot it. SuperOneClick will do just that for you. Try it out, let me know how it works for you.

Terringo - thanks. I did the SuperOneClick to unroot twice. On the second attempt it displays "Device does not have Superuser

Terringo - thanks for the info. I did the SuperOneClick to unroot twice. On the second attempt it displays "Device does not have Superuser". Is this an indication that the unroot was completed successfully. Is there a way to verify this on the phone itself? Version/build # or files remaining on the system, etc? Pls see below.

they dont have an odin stock file yet, although i could probably unroot and shell root my gf's phone and make just a stock system tar

In the How To I posted a Stock Odin Flash App in the Sticky above. I havent tried it myself but it looks credable. Please check out mys sticky and let me know how that looks to you? Thanks

Thanks, Terrigno. I stand corrected! ;)

In my defense, it only shows up as "Root Check" in my app drawer, as there's not enough space for the complete app label, LOL.

lol. I only looked for it in the market under Root Check and nothing was comming up lol. Thats why I stated a different name :p
