First I have to say I'm not used to do informatic stuff. But I tried to install the lineage OS on my Huawei P9 lite. (And I have to excuse for my English ;) )

In the first step I had to unlock my device. After paying für the **** unlocking code I succeeded and my phone was unlocked.

Then I wantet to flash the recovery TWRP for installing lineage OS and used this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNhv-fKJFaw
I always get stucked at 5:38. There was the message "your device is booting now" and the device stocked on this situation.

So I tried different versions of the recovery file but nothing helped.

Always after "fastboot boot recovery.img" in the ADB there was a failure.

So I decided to make a factory reset of my phone (a big mistake I think).

Now I cannot start my phone again. I get to the message "your device is booting now" and stuck there.

Now I think I destroyed my phone. Or not? Has anybody an idea? Thanks for help.

You have to unlock the bootloader - you don't need any code for that. The code is to unlock the SIM lock, so you can use the phone with other carriers.

Are you certain that you downloaded TWRP for the Huawei P9 Lite? There's a different version for each phone.

That won't work - it has to be the one for the Huawei P9 Lite.

Destroyed it? No. But you may have to bring it to a repair shop.

Okay =) It was the one with "fastboot oem unlock"

I am sure I downloaded TWRP for Huawei P9 lite. I used this: https://androidhost.org/MniEn

Maybe the repair shop costs more than a new phone =( Because now i lost my guaranty.
