Hi,
Have an Alba 7" tablet running Android 5.1, I did a factory reset, and now cannot add a Google account to the device.
After connecting to WiFi it goes "Checking connection" ... "Software update" ... "Checking info" ... and then loops back to the select WiFi screen. At no point do I get asked for a Google account email & password.

I have found other threads on various sites about getting stuck on the "Checking info" screen, but these seem to be after entering a Google account email & password, which is not happening here.
The same thing happens if I skip the WiFi during setup, and then try to add an account after, see this video: https://youtu.be/eRv6otRSdrc
I have factory reset a few times, and also used the recovery menu a few times. I first reset it about two weeks ago now.
I have also tried connecting to a different WiFi but it made no difference.
Has anyone got any idea how I can resolve this?
