Factory Reset on Galaxy Tab 4, how can I do it if the option is grayed out?

Factory Reset on Galaxy Tab 4

I bought a Galaxy Tab 4 on eBay. I want to wipe it so the previous owner's information is gone. I can't seem to do that.

The "Factory Reset" option is greyed out. When I try to do a hard reset (power + vol up + home) it just turns the tablet on.

Any other options?

Try to do the same but this time when the samsung logo appear, release the power button but keep pressing the home and volume up
