Factory reset

[Android Central Question]

I have a used Samsung 7s edge, but it started at the welcome page but sadly stated that I was unable to connect because I reset my password, which I didn't and stated for me to try in 24 hrs. I thought person left their info on phone so I did a factory cache and a factory rest.. still no good.. got any suggestions our did I just waste my money buying off of fb?
