Failed to load image

When trying to select an image from the gallery for the "My Design" watch face I get a Failed to Load Image error. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Watch is on 5.1.1 and phone is 5.1

If I use "Photos" Gallery to pick the image, I get the failed to load image error. But if I use the regular gallery or a 3rd party app like QuickPic, the images load just fine.

Stock gallery worked for me. I must have set photos as the default early on and I just didn't think to clear it. Thanks.
