I got the S6 Edge yesterday and it's my first Samsung phone. I've notice a faint blue tint on the bottom half on the screen. If you open a new tab in Chrome you can see it there against the white background. The top half of the screen is a nice white color.. there is definitely some kind of darker difference on the bottom half.

Do you think this is a problem with my handset or is this common for all of them?

Thanks,

-Daniel

Could it be burn-in? Is it uniform, or does it look like a ghost image? If your unit were on display, for example, it's possible the screen might have developed some burn-in.

It does almost look like a burn-in. Not sure how it would've gotten there. I got this from T-Mobile telesales and they shipped it to me yesterday. Should I go in to the store to see if they will replace it? Or would they even do that?

it's an issue with amoled displays, gradient display tint, i've had 3 Galaxy S5's and the display wasn't uniform for neither of them, if you've got warranty i suggest exchanging your device , the tint doesn't affect the functionality of the device, but i couldn't stand it

here's something similar

Thing is I feel I'm just being really picky. My wife doesn't really see it. And to be honest, it's not a huge factor if you're not looking at a blank, white screen. But now that I've seen it, I see it. I doubt the T-Mobile store employees will see it.

Did your S6 overheat during the first start up. Because it happened to me it almost caught my hand in fire (around 39c). Thai could also be a reason. But anyways try exchanging a new one hope you haven't modifies or rooted the system.
