I've put the Maxx in the drawer. Long term storage. Don't know when I'll be back. I'll be keeping an eye on the forums from time to time.

Keep in touch.

I was with WebOS since day one. I dabbled in Windows phones. I had quite a few different android phones. It only makes sense that I give Apple a try.

My Razr is flawless. I've got no complaints. I'm not leaving because I don't like my phone, the OS, or the great people on the forum. I'm leaving because it is time for a change.

Duuuuuuude! We'll miss you and your expertise. I don't begrudge your trying something new, but I suspect that being the tinkerer that you are, you might get bored pretty quickly with that fruitphone ...

Oh, but the apps.. That is what makes me so envious of iOS.. Not envious enough to jump to an Apple device, but man, they have all the apps.

But what I know about bradenfontaine is that he's the king of customization. iOS may have the apps, but you can't customize the phone just with apps unless you jailbreak, and even then, I don't think you can customize things nearly as much as with Android.

He'll be upgrading to a Tracphone next. Can't ever imagine going to an iPhone from a big android..shuddering at the thought of it

I think he's going to go retro and get a Motorola StarTAC flip phone. Then after modding it and overclocking it, he'll somehow turn it into a time machine.

Best thing I've heard all day

Best you've heard all day? That's the best post I've seen in a while. Enjoy the iPhone - my friend has a RAZR Maxx and is switching when he can afford to do it and pay full retail.

Gonna miss ya. You always had a good answer. When I saw your name, I knew it was a good answer for whatever the question was.

Too bad the Blackberries aren't out in the US yet, or I could have held out hope THAT is the forbidden fruit.

As an aside, just what the heck is Blackberry thinking introducing their savior BB10, and promptly going silent for a good month before actually having it available in the most important market in the world? Do they understand that a good portion of the people who actually paid attention to their announcement have probably lost interest by now?

OK, now back to our regularly scheduled ribbing of bradenfontaine.
