I was trying to install the DJ05 modem.bin via odin, however, the phone will not boot. it shows a symbol of a phone caution sign and a computer. I have tried to reflash but to no avail. I have tried to flash back to DI01 but has not helped. I can boot into download mode but nothing else. I used PDA on odin. I tried to repartition but odin just hangs for 20+ mins.

I have tried every restore method on XDA that I could find with similar problems, but no one has had this particular problem that I could find.

to get into recovery mode you must hold up and down volume buttons together, while continue to hold them hit the power button, you will see samsung light up go dark and light up again(2 cycles) at this point let go of power and volume keys and just press the down button, you will then go into recovery,,,assuming you have Clockworkmod, it will either boot into or into normal recovery.if you are in normal recover just navigate to update.zip use the power button to select and this will lead you into Clockwork rec. from there you can flash the rom

i can only get into download mode, it wont boot into recovery at all. if I normal boot it just shows the phone...caution...computer symbols.

yeah thats why i said to move USB ports , check my last post to try that..... are you using the USB cable that came with the phone or an after market cable like from another phone?

this happed to someone in another post
through odin i was able to restore the modem file I was trying to do.

Had to take the battery out, open odin, hold down the volume button and plugged the phone in.. This put it back into download mode and I was able to re install the radio.

This is a great thread with info on this that i dug up for future search refference...

So I revisted this site after the failing attempts. I noticed one thing that I did not do. Very simply it states that one must have the battery OUT when the going into download mode, this one step has successfully restored my phone back to stock.

Thank You DroidXcon for your help. I really appreciate androidcentral and all the help gained from it.

When you are flashing in odin do you have the battery in? If so, remove the battery, hold volume down and plug in usb to get into download mode to try again

Edit: Guess I should read the whole thread before answering... Glad you got it working!
