fascinate maybe bricked

Edit: Guess I should read the whole thread before answering... Glad you got it working!

lol, done that a coulple of times.

on another note, had the same problem after flashing a test kernel, though i was able to reflash the stock rom and that fixed it. i have never had to take the battery out to use odin. its interesting that it fixed his problem and wasnt an issue in other similar problems.

i think it has something to do with usb1 and usb2 , i should ask that from now on, i mean if people know

Hey guys, I got the same error in Odin as Spyder4569. My phone is not bricked I am just trying to get back to stock, out of the box.

<ID:0/006> Checking MD5 finished Sucessfully..
<ID:0/006> MD5 hash value is invalid.

A bit of background to my issue. I used the SuperOneClick root which worked great and easy. I was happy with the phone after all my tweeks. I downloaded the Windows Phone Android app/theme from the market and when I reboted I was in a Force Close loop. Got that to stop and the phone back resetting to factory but I could not use the OneClick anymore. Failing for not being able to find the file, so I rooted using the universal method with rage. Is there something else I could try before I call VZW to have them send me a new one?

Have you tried all the methods that are stated in this thread, including removing and leaving it out during the flash?

That's a good thought. All my stuff is 2 maybe that's why I have never had trouble

were you able to unbrick the phone? I have the same issue and it won't connect to odin. I can get it into 'recovery mode' by pressing the up/down array when pressing the power, but the update.zip fails to execute.

oh yeah. a brick is just a phone waiting to happen. yeah, thats deffinatly going in my sig. anyway, use stock usb cable and make sure your battery is out for the entire operation.

when flashing things via odin, do you always have to take out your battery first? i cant remember if i did or not when i first flashed cwm but i havent had anyproblems so i never made a mental note of it. I'd just like to know just in case i have to flash back to stock for whatever reason.

I don't know how to get into exact detail as to why you should have it out, but in short, yes it is much SAFER to have it removed and is stressed in any odin thread. I'd just stick with being safe, much less chance of problems.

You do not have to but you are asking for trouble if you don't, Odin is very sensative to voltage variation so its best to remove the battery and let download mode run off the voltage provided by the USB port. A voltage spike could cause your phone to loose connection mid flash which could leave you in a very bad place. But like i said if you feel that you want to leave the battery in by all means feel free.

since this seems to be a tell all thread i have a question...
i went back to DL09 stock... did an OTA update from verizon
flashed the recovery all
flashed the debloated deoxed ec01
ended up with schI500 Build ED01
did a flash com rom 1.3
everything seems in order but status bar does not show any com rom ####'s
but phone is fasst as lightening. and not overclocked.

is there supposed to be anything in the status bar like we saw in 292?
i'll check tommorrow for all answers.. thx but i must stop for this night..

Most roms lack the marker that adrynalyne put into super clean. It was a nice touch I would like to see more of, but no, there shouldn't be anything there to the best of my knowledge.
