fascinate usb problems

I have a samsung fascinate I500 that is having troubles connecting to my laptop , windows 7 . I have tried many things over the internet and quite a few off of this site but still no luck . any help would be nice , it's starting to get old because I keep going in circles .

Have you tried all of these?
- different pc (try desktop and plug into ports in back of the tower)
- different usb cable
- install fascinate drivers
- put phone in debugging mode, plug in, restart phone, try mounting sd card

I had the same problem recently. I tried everything multiple times and still could not connect, at the same time, my wife's phone would connect without trouble.

It turned out to be the USB port on the phone itself. Luckily I still had one day left on my warranty and the Verizon store took it back no questions and shipped me a refurb, which works like new.
