Hi,

I’m thinking of getting the S20 when it comes out but not the Plus or the Ultra version since I personally prefer the smaller phones. I was just wondering if anyone knows if the regular S20 will have 25 watt or 45 watt fast charging?

Debating on dropping an extra $50 on the Samsung 45 watt fast charger if that is the case.

Thanks!

Judging by the Note 10+'s abilities, I think it's currently overkill to get the 45 watt charger even if the phone is capable of it. Charging times are not likely to be reduced enough (if at all) to justify the price of the charger. If the phone had an 8,000+ mAh battery, then it may be worth considering the 45 watt charger.

I too will be interested in the smaller model moreso than the larger ones. I'm sure we'll get detailed reviews of charging and battery life once the phone line drops. Can't wait!

From what I have read, they will all have 45w charging but only the Ultra will have the 45w charger in the box, the other two will have the 25w charger.
I'm 99% sure that you will not miss the 45w charger, vast majority of the people with the Note 10 plus can easily live without i, myself included

I got the 45 W charger since Samsung was offering a charging bundle for $150, and they coincidentally happened to give us a $150 credit for purchasing (or in my case leasing) the Note 10+. It's not significantly better than the 25 W charger in the box. If you charge from 5%, you get to 100% about six minutes faster than with the 25 W charger. If I didn't already own the 45 W charger, I would not purchase it for the S20+.

But hey, maybe the S20/S20+ will somehow be able to take advantage of PD 3.0 in a way that the Note 10+ can't.

I believe Max Weinbach tweeted that the plus and regular models will only come with 25w charging. That’s fine with me, since I’ll be getting the smaller S20 as well, and that smaller battery will charge quickly enough with the 25w brick.
