So does the pixel say fast charging on the screen when charging? I used 3 different chargers and the pixel doesn't show fast charging. Is the charger supposed to be exclusively 30w charger to get fast charging with pixel? Or to display it on the screen?

Yup simple 18w charger fast charges it, however, if you have an alarm and you have adaptive charging enabled and charging at night time it won't rapidly charge it. In fact it won't ever hit 100% until it's almost time for your alarm to go off which ensures your battery is at 100% by the time your alarm goes off. It charges extremely slow in order to increase the life of the battery.

Mine just says charging... 1 hour till fully charged. Of course the hour will be different depending on the battery percentage.
Typically it will days charging rapidly if it's on a fast enough charger or just charging. If it says charging slowly that's when you connect it to something like a laptop or a slower charging source which is even slower than normal non fast charge.

Btw original poster how many watts does it say on your charger? That's could be helpful bc maybe your chargers are not at least 18 watts. For me on the 18w pixel chargers that came with my pixel 5 and 4 both days charging rapidly and with my pixelbook 45w charger. If k lit the phone on a pixel wireless stand "first gen" it only days charging I think 15 watts is the max.

Then the only other thing that could be stopping it is the actual wire it has to be a fastcharge wire and they do have some that don't support it. Most type C supports fast charging but there are some that don't. I only learned about this a few weeks ago in one of the verge's podcasts they just had recently about the charging standards etc. I would recommend purchasing a new one on Amazon they are super cheap or even see if you have another laying around the house.

The first month I had my P6 the idle battery drain was 11% or 12% from 100% charge in 8 hours. Last night I did another test. Only 4% drain in 8 hours. Now I need to test it from 80% charge.

For what it's worth, I've tried a 45W MU one without PPS and a 25W Samsung charger with PPS and both show "charging rapidly".

This thread could do with a title change.
