My phone takes a while to charge. I thought the active had fast charging?

Do I need to buy a different cable?

If you use the wall plug it came with you should be all set

When you are using the fast charger that should have came with the phone, the phone should show fast charging in the notifications.

Is your charger made by samsung and say rapid charger on it ? Did you buy the phone new or used? ( sometimes used people will swap out the chargers)

It should say adaptive fast charging on the charger along with Samsung. Is so maybe there is a problem with the phone or charger. I could not find any setting on the phone that would change the charging speed.

I took the USB cord out of the brick, shined my light in the port on the brick and I had some dust in it. Blew it out, and now it works.

Odd that the dust was in the packaging as well.

I have the Note 4, with it you have to turn the Fast Charging on via the battery setting. Don't know if the S6 Active has the same option or if its one of those "always on" options.

This happened to me after I took the phone underwater. When I went to charge it at night, it would charge, but not quick charge. I took a hair dryer to the charging port, and, whew, fast charging again.

Mine does work now, but on the active, it's not a settings option, it's just native
