I'm a note 7 refuge. Considering many options. One is s7e. Thing is all Sammy phones I've owned have been slow despite applying all the suggested "cures". Is the s7e a fast phone? Is it as fast as the 6p for example? Is it as fast as the latest Moto offering (force or whatever it's called)? I appreciate your input and examples. Thanks

I have no complaints so far, but then again I've only had the phone about 20 hours. I use Nova Launcher which has been great

I use Nova Launcher too so that is a good comparison. When you scroll through twitter or tapatalk or anything involving scrolling is it smooth? It was jumpy in my N3 and N7.

For me it's been smooth

You can customize the scroll speed too, I just haven't done that

I also came over from the Note7. I went with the S7edge. It's not the Note7, but with a good launcher like nova, action 3, etc it's nice. Also a good case helped thin down the edges. Hope this helps. Good Luck

My Note 7 wasn't very good so when people say this is almost as good I know it is meant as a compliment but not so much to me.

My scroll speed isn't/wasn't the issue. It was scroll smoothness.

I came from a iphone 6plus and note 4 previous to that touchwiz has defiantly improved as a aluncher since the note 4 and the smoothness of marshmellow is on par with ios haven't seen that much lag on my s7edge

Had my S7 Edge for 4 days and I fm gotta say this thing is fast ( Exynos SOC) for the 1st time in years I haven't replaced Touchwiz with Nova prime.
Touchwiz is really smooth and snappy and I really couldn't be happier, great battery life as well.
Absolutely zero lag experienced :-)

Note 7 and now S7 Edge are the first two Samsung phones I've had where I didn't feel a need to use a third party launcher. Personally never felt that the Note 7 lagged at all, but the S7 Edge does seem to feel a bit faster than the Note 7 to me.

Don't believe any ad you say that claims they'll speed up the phone. In all cases they slow it down more.

Out of habit I disable everything I consider bloats (Instagram, Facebook, AT&T Locker, AT&T Drive Mode, Google Drive, Device Help, Hangouts, and a slew of others). I also use Nova Prime. With this method I've been able to make a lot of phones perform pretty well, even my Mum's LG Phoenix 2 with its 1.5GB of RAM. My S7e just flies and I really love the performance. No stuttering, no lag. YMMV

My edge is painfully laggy. I think I have defective model or something got screwed up with the OS/apps. I can't even get pages manager to work, which I need for my business. Pressing the home button has no result.. press again.. delay.. finally goes back to home screen. My s6 wasn't a problem. My note7's weren't a problem. My edge7 is a big headache.

Smooth as silk here on my S7 Edge, coming from Note7 (Note 4 prior). I have gotten used to it much faster than I thought, couple complaint I have are no secure folder and AOD lacks proper notifications for all 3rd party apps. (pointless when you cant see notifications)
