faulty camera

I have the htc one x, had it for almost 2 years and for 6 months the camera has been faulty. When I click on the camera icon, the screen is black and it doesn't do anything else. After a while it will switch to the homescreen. I took it to the shop I bought it from and they told me to back up and reset to manufacturers settings but it didn't help. I have even been to the apps on my settings and cleared cache for my camera but it hasn't helped. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME... I want my camera back!

You aren't the only one with this problem unfortunately. It is believed to be a software bug.
