Favorite Texting app?

I'm currently using Google Messages for RCS purposes. Once Textra uses RCS I'll be going back.

Only one person I text with RCS works with so I think I am going back to Samsung. I think on Samsung though once a conversation thread is deleted you have to set up your text tones again. It's not an option under contacts like it used to be. But I have a couple tones that I transferred over from my S10 Plus and on here they don't work no sound it's weird. I kind of like Samsung and am going to try using it again. I used to only use it cause of matching theme and same with keyboard but I haven't put a theme on here since I've gad this phone. A theme messed up my S10 plus once and I had to do a reset.

I used Textra for many years and loved it... Until RCS became available AND the ability to access my texts in a browser screen... So now I am hooked on Google Messages and am very pleased due to the productivity it allows me.

Telegram, WhatsApp, Google Messages, Signal. Most of my contacts are iPhone users, so I use whatever their preference is outside of iMessage.

I don't see any way to customize Samsung Messages. All I wanted was to customize colors and text bubbles.

A good app for using with a tablet is pulse sms
Nailed it. Pulse syncs across all your devices on just about any OS, WearOS, Tizen, ChromeOS, so many more. Delayed send, scheduled messages, backups, it been my go to messaging app for years and it just keeps getting better.

If you go into each individual conversation and hit the 3 dots in top right corner, you can do some customization there. Change notification sound and wallpaper background. But that is the only 2 options I see.

I have Verizon as a carrier so I use their Message + on my iPhone and Note 20. Works really well for me.

I wish I could use Verizon's Messages+. That is what I was using for years. But when I switched carriers I could no longer use Message+ on my tablet. It still worked on my phone though.

What exactly are we speculating about? Something that will "duplicate" a phone's SMS and traditional "text messages" to also non-SMS-capable devices (like a tablet without a SIM card, and/or even a PC)? Or, do we not care, and only wondering about something that achieves "data delivered massaging", for example for any devices that are essentially Internet connected?

It's just a thread about your favorite texting app. Can be anything. I like Google Messages because of chat features and I like how it works on my PC. What is your favorite texting app and why do you like it?

Newish to Samsung and I am really liking Samsung Messages. I've used Textra in the past with my brief time with Samsung phones as well as Google Messenger for my past non Samsung 4 phones. I have to admit that I am currently liking Samsung's new messages app and the ability to customize contacts background, the look and feel of it, and the ability to add categories. I also just watched some youtube vids on other cool features it can do like Schedule Message, Sent to Reminder. I can also use messages on my PC using Your Phone app.

Will RCS features be available soon without having to do some of the tweaks that some have posted?

Any other useful tips? One thing I wanted to see if I can customize, but do not think I can, is how to change contact text message bubble colors.
