Faxing using Fascinate

Should I be able to connect my Fascinate to my laptop and be able to use it as a fax/modem? I have the Samsung Android USB modem driver installed. When check out "Phone and Modem" in the Control Panel and click on the modem properties, diagnostics and query the modem, it tells me that it could not communicate with the modem. Am I expecting too much? Should I be able to send a fax using this phone?

Did you enable Dial up networking under your Wireless & network settings?

I have the latest update and I do not see a setting under Wireless & network that shows Dial up networking. What am I missing?

It's not available on stock ED01. If you flashed Community ROM, you would have the Dial up networking option under wireless & network
