Hey all I just noticed that all the FB photos I uploaded through out the years are now viewable on my picturevGallery..
Now this is cool and all but given that my phone is the 16Gb S4, the internal memory is quite precious thus I would like to know where these photos are saved? And is it eating up my internal memory?
I checked "MyFiles" and I couldn't see them anywhere... maybe I'm not looking at the right place. . suggestions anyone? Thanks

I do believe they're stored in the internal memory, but I might be wrong. One way you can tell is by going into any picture from the FB Gallery, hitting the 'Menu' button and selecting "Properties"; there, you'll see the path where it is stored. If it says sdCard, it's your internal memory (Yeah, I know, it's confusing but it is what it is), and if it says externalSd, then it's your external card.

If you want to avoid FB pictures showing up in your phone, go to Settings, Accounts, Facebook, and un-tick the Sync Gallery option.

Yes they are stored on your internal memory. Turn it off as the above user stated.

Yup I figured... This internal memory of the S4 and not being able to move apps to the SD card will be a problem as the data usage grows. Two things I see as a solution, either I constantly erase the apps cache or upgrade to a 32Gb or 64Gb internal memory... anyway thanks for the help also.

So... Settings, to accounts & sync, to Facebook and then.... untick a sync gallery option which isn't there??? Theres contacts, calendar and news feed options, but no gallery.

Not there? Hummm... that's weird, I've had that option since quite a few Facebook updates...

BTW, albertamoranto, just to be fair, not being able to move apps to SD is not a Samsung choice, it's a Google one. They removed that option (which you can get back with rooting and some hackerytrickery) from Android 4 and up to make things more efficient, even at the expense of rendering external storage useless for that very purpose.

FB photos (or anything similar) is NOT saved on your device. Obviously unless you've taken it with said device. But they can be hidden. Go to gallery, menu and voil?!

So I've turned off the sync of my facebook galleries, however, all the albums that previously synced from fb still show up on my phone. How do I get rid of them?

Ah, there it is. I was looking at the albums through the camera app, not the gallery, which apparently has different options. Thanks!

The images are cached on the phone which takes up space. Not as much as actually having the pictures but space nevertheless.

Helloo I had the same problem and just figured it out.

Gallery》menu》content to display》uncheck facebook

Im not sure if this erases the fb albums completely or if it just hides them but it is definitely no longer in my gallery!

I noticed this on my HTC One. I did not like it.

So i'm the opposite. I want my fb photos to show up in my gallery. But, I can't click the "content in facebook" option in the gallery settings "content to display". And when I go into my phone settings under accounts and facebook, there is no option to sync photos. any suggestions?

I have not been able to sync my gallery since 1/31/14 according to my phone. I made changes on FB as suggested. I've made sure that the settings on my S4 are correct. Why won't it sync anymore? It says "Sync is currently experiencing problems It will be back shortly" This is strange as I know that I had synced my gallery most of last year if not all. Now notthing. Somebody please HELP ME!

I'm having same issues as well. I've looked everywhere for a solution and nothing yet.

I don't know if you've sorted this issue yet. I've been having same trouble since December 2014. Yesterday my daughter managed to find a fix, don't know if it works for everyone.
Go to settings, then accounts, and select facebook. You should have page showing when last synced and sync interval settings. Select your account name, you should have the option to Remove account. Do this.
Now go back to settings/accounts and select Add account from the list. select Facebook and you will be prompted to sign back into your facebook account.

For me this solved the problem and my sync is now working again.

Hope this helps.
