Hi. Just like everyone here, I love my Note 9. I've gone from the Note 2, Note 4, S8, S9 to Note 9, and have been absolutely content with what Samsung has put out. The thing is, with all these other brands showing off their tricks and stats, it's really become harder and harder to be content with Samsung now Apple-like approach in terms of incremental updates. I'm thinking of switching to the OnePlus 7 Pro, but know that if be giving up as lot in exchange for that 90hz refresh rate and pop up camera. The thing is, I've been a Note user for so long I've taken features for granted. What are some of the things only the Note 9 can do that I won't be able to do with the OnePlus?

You'll miss the S-pen if you used it often, power share, fast wireless charging ,water resistant rating ,Samsung pay if used ,theme store ,Samsung Good Lock

I'm in two minds whether to move onto the OP7 Pro too; from past experience though, I've never been fully happy with the OP phones, for me, their screens just aren't as vibrant as the Samsung ones and the Note 9 is a superb phone with an amazing screen

I don't game and I'm not a mega photo taker, my gut feeling is that if I go for the 7 Pro, I'll soon regret it and be out of pocket

I think I'm just itching for some new tech. The Note 9 (as of right now) is definitely the jack of all trades, do everything phone. Thanks y'all. Now they only problem I have is how you convince my wife to switch from Apple to Android...

  • Expandable storage
  • headphone jack
  • Samsung Pay
  • Good Lock is a big one for me
  • The fingerprint scanner on the back. I have no interest in a fingerprint scanner underneath the screen.
  • S Pen
  • Iris scanner.
  • Water resistance.
  • Worse battery life than the Note 9.
  • Worse camera than the Note 9.

I'm trying to think of reason TO switch to a OnePlus 7 pro.

Well when you put it like that...

I've been watching too much Unbox Therapy.

So you expect Samsung to give their best feature to their competitors? That doesn't make for good business. Samsung will sell them good Amoled screens but not their best quality.
Your logic fails when you realize Samsung also makes the iPhone X screen but DisplayMate gives it higher scores than Samsung phone screens.

They're both using the same Pentile tech. The difference just lies in the software controller of the screen on the color accuracy.

Also, OnePlus decided on 1080p screens to try keep lower costs.

I agree with chanchan , Samsung does sell their best screen, but everyone calibrates it differently.

Yeah you would think that Samsung puts the latest and greatest in their products first. However, they just came up with 64 & 108 mega pixel sensors and gave Xiaomi first crack at them. So Xiaomi will have 64 & 108 mega pixel camera phones before Samsung.
