Features missing on Note 5?

I'm warming up to the Note 5 more each day, but unless anyone can help, are these features really gone?

Hot Keys: assign text shortcuts to the number keys, especially handy for long usernames and passwords.

Music voice commands: no more "stop/pause, play, next, volume up/down" while stock music app is opened.

Music shortcut: no longer on the lock screen or in sleep mode, but still can be found on the toggle pull down.

Read notifications out loud: handy when you're cooking or hands are not free.

Multitask/window: no longer can read/reply to emails and text messages without stopping non-compatible video streaming apps like ESPN, Mobdro, etc.

Attached are pics from my Note 4 as reference.

ETA: I have TMobile

I do not see "hot keys" on my Note 5 but there is an option for text shortcuts, where you can create shortcuts for frequently used phrases. I'm not sure if that is the same thing.

I do not see an option where notifications can be read aloud.

I do not have the Read Notifications option on my Note 5 either. I have a Verizon Note 5 ( who are known for removing USEFUL features)....

It is possible that it is listed under another menu option. A lot of stuff has been moved around on this phone.

music shortcut still on the lockscreen with note 5
Hmmm, I just tried again, but the shortcut is only visible on the pull down toggle, but not on the lock screen. So when I press the power button on and off, the shortcut is missing on the lock screen. The Note 4 has it on both pull down toggle and lock screen as shown in my pics.

Thanks...yeah, I already tried the Text Shortcuts, but Hot Keys work a bit differently and better, almost like assigning the long pressed number keys for speed dialing. Text Shortcuts use the predictive text area when you type, and it doesn't work with passwords.

i am on verizon...

ok so here's what im finding.....if the music is playing it shows up per my pic above, on the lock screen. if i pause it there the screen relocks at some point and if i turn the screen right back on it will still be there, but if i leave it paused and the screen off for an amount (not sure how long it takes) of time it leaves the lock screen and the pull down notification shade. so i guess as long as i keep the music rolling no problem but once its paused i'm going to loose the ability to start it up again on the lock screen.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I have TMobile, so maybe my experience is different; any other TMobile users can confirm with their new Note 5?

has anyone figured out where to turn on the "Read Notifications Aloud" feature?
This Note 4 feature is not on the Note 5, but there's an app that works even better and more comprehensive. Some say this type of feature can be annoying but with this app, Voice Notification: Shouter, you can customize how or when the notifications are read outloud. I have my BT headset on all the time, so I get these notifications read outloud to me while my phone screen is off and without anyone around me hearing them. So convenient!

In your notification settings are you sure the music isn't check to hide on lockscreenuploadfromtaptalk1451661896925.jpeg?
