Features & Services to get with Verizon GN

Ok, so I've never been on Verizon before (moving from AT&T), and I've never had a smartphone before. When browsing the plan options for the GN:

Verizon Features and Services for Galaxy Nexus

the Features & Services page rolls up, with Equipment Protection, Voice Mail, Ringback tones, etc.

I've never had this stuff. Is any of it good to get? If so, why?

I would 100% opt in for insurance protection.

It's just ways to Upsell you on stuff. I think it really depends on how you will use your device. For the most part though, I don't think many people actually select those options. Maybe the insurance...I used insurance on my OG Droid, though this time around I decided to opt out. Only because my phone is glued to me at all times. I never leave it unattended. It's like my wallet. I can always upgrade later if I want to go back.

It's up to you. Either way, Selecting nothing will not take away from your Verizon/Galaxy nexus experience.

I honestly don't know why people would pay a monthly fee for the 'Ringback' option.
This just allows you to select a song, or some other type of tone, that will play in the earpiece of the person who is CALLING your number, until you pick up the phone..
I had a friend who had this, and she had a Dave Matthews song as her ringback tone.
it sounded AWFUL.. muffled and distorted..

Insurance is the only worthwhile thing on the whole lot there. and thats just a personal preference. You will have to pay a $50 deductible if you ever need your phone replaced. and it is replaced with a refurb...
