February (2018) Update Out - Pixel 2/2XL

I saw it's also related to dpi and other stuff. I think I will wait for the OTA:)
Last thing I want is force close apps 😄

I went ahead and signed up... Had to exit Google play and go back to the link. Then updated. After the app updated I had to hit the system update button twice and it worked.... Downloading now.

After you signed up for the beta did you then get an update to the beta? Some of us don't seem to be getting the update and stay on 11.9.76 on the google play services app.

I had to quit and reload the app page. I used the like from the story to get back to the page after quitting... Yes an update showed up then.

I was able to get the Feb security update patch via this method from Reddit. Was fast and very easy...

If you side load the latest Play Services 12.2.09, the check for update button works and you can download the Feb security update as a normal OTA...

Anyone on the Google Play service beta track ever have any issues because of the beta? I have already sideloaded the Feb update, just wondering if the beta testers long term have had any issues with it.

I don't even remember how long I have been on Google play services beta and never had any issues. So you should be fine.

That proved to be a complete waste of time. All I received was an update from 11.9.75 to 11.9.76.
It's like Google doesn't want us to be in control of when we get updates; they prefer to leave that functionality broken.

Finally the update button works. No more I am from (insert city, state, and carrier) and haven't got an update yet post.

I'm on the OnePlus 5T now with a December update , I do miss Googles timely updates

if you go to the mirror app site they explain how to pick the correct version. I never side load, but this one was pretty straightforward

Why swap to that?
BT issues wifi stopping , a down grade in the camera but other than that I'm really enjoying the phone it's pure Android with oxygen OS on top so it's a good platform Oreo 8.0

Ah that sucks. So far I haven't hit any BT issues or WiFi issues.

I switched from the Note 8 to the Pixel XL for the security updates. So far I'm finding that they also introduce more bugs than I would expect with each update. Since the Feb 5 update, my camera has been crashing periodically, and Bluetooth has been disconnecting periodically. Seems like we can't win with this setup. And if anyone thinks it's better on the iOS side, it isn't. Their updated since 10.3 have been as buggy as all get go.
