Received mine this afternoon. Picked up my phone at work and noticed it was a little warmer than usual. The update had been installing

2 phones here both enrolled in the Google beta on play services 1 phone got the update and the other didn't. Still seems to be no rhyme or reason to the update.

I've never seen rhyme or reason to any android update. You get it when you get it.

It just boggles me, both phones are pixel 2xl through the same carrier and setup the same way as far as all the beta programs through google etc..

Still no update for me. I think the latest I've ever received a monthly update after release was 4 days.

Yes, this is by far the longest without a monthly update.

What I wonder is why so many from Verizon have it and so many don't. Something bad found at the least minute?

Still waiting. This is nothing new, unfortunately. In November, I didn't get my update until the 16th. Verizon, Pixel XL.

Finally got the February 5 security patch for 8.1.0.

Got mine late last week. Verizon Pixel. It downloaded OTA while I was driving. After installing and restarting, my Smart Lock started working again at home.
