Hi - looking at getting one of these. couple of random questions please...

1) How well does the S Note <--> Evernote sync work? Does the handwriting recognition work well, and then sync to Evernote?
2) Does the magazine (made for Samsung by Flipboard apparently) actually sync with Flipboard, or just a stand alone app?
3) Interested in any feedback on using the tablet with Nova Prime instead of Touchwiz. Much smoother, less lag?

I am moving from an iPad (hopefully), so also interested in views on the range of tablet optimised apps for Android.

thanks!

1. Handwriting works very well for me (I don't have a nice one to start with but it recognizes correctly almost all the time). I haven't sync with Evernote, cannot comment.
2. My Magazine is a stand alone app. You cannot define news sources there, it's preconfigured. Flipboard is installed too.
3. Nova Prime works very well, no lag for me. I didn't use Touchwiz long enough to comment, quickly installed Nova.

I don't use many apps but whatever I have, I'm happy with Android versions. My only complain is about MLB AtBat app, it's nicer on iPad than on Android.

1) I've set mine up to sync with Evernote but haven't actually created anything yet to sync. I'll share when I have a chance to play around with it.

2) Sadly, no, you cannot link it to your Flipboard account. It may be 'powered by Flipboard' but as ddavtian mentioned, it's a standalone app. And while it looks nice (like a supersized version of Blinkfeed with more sources), it lags terribly.

3)) Same here for me, didn't even bother to test out TouchWiz as I've used it in the past and dislike it immensely. First thing I did was configure NOVA Prime and have had no issues with lag using it.

thanks for the info, most appreciated.

I guess I am after the best of both worlds - android widgets and configurability, plus ipad-like well designed tablet apps that make great use of the screen real estate.

I too have yet to let go of the ipad. Family is lining up for this note if I decide to stick with the ipad. Google announced recently that they play store would showcase more tablet apps with a refresh of the store. So hopefully it will make better use of the real estate.

Yes, saw the announcement of new approach to displaying tablet apps. Will launch on 21 Nov. Hopefully more developers look at tablet optimised apps.
