few email related questions on NS4G?

I recently switched from using gmail email app to using the other email app and it seems to be working fine but I do have few questions:

1) Is there a way to search for emails inside email app?

2) is it possible to choose which account to reply with when replying to emails? I can only reply from account that email came into.


3) Is there a way to map trash folder on teh phone to gmail trash folder so it syncs up properly? When I delete messages on my phone they go to trash folder but its not linked to gmail trash folder.
Emails seem to be stuck in there forever. Also is there a way to purge the local trash folder?

3) Not that I've found, though I've never moved my gmail to stock email app. The Stock app does properly sync my exchange trash and my Hotmail trash. I'm assuming you're using IMAP?

I'm sure you've got a good reason, but why did you leave the GMail app?

I'm using google's exchange sync for these not imap. I switched simply because I hate conversations mode. I can never get use to it for some reason and usually get lost when trying to read an email thread. I disabled it on the web interface and it is now usable but there is no way to disable it on android gmail app
