I have bought an HTC Hero from Telus Canada without contract, and I got it unlocked.
Now I was wondering, if I Root my Hero, or if I have to update it (if HTC releases a new ROM, like for UK, or for when we get android 2.1), will my phone get locked again?
Also, my service provider offers a WAP over GPRS connection. I have set it up, however when I try to connect using WAP, I get the E (EDGE) or G (GPRS) icon on the notification bar, with only the left arrow (Upload) working, and according to NetCounter, data is being transfered, but when I try to open any page using the browser, I get:
"The Web page at http://.../ could not be loaded as:
HTTP error code: 403,
Forbidden"
