I want my phone to acknowledge that it's receiving a charge. I want the thing to tell me when I've missed a call or have an awaiting text message. Why on earth would they get rid of such a standard, basically-necessary feature? Ahhh yes, so you can give more permissions...

Why vent your anger on us? We have no affiliation with any phone manufacturer, network or Google. I suggest you redirect your ire.
There is no reason why you can't have notifications on your screen to advise you of messages and missed calls so if you care to join and advise us what device you have, we will be happy to assist, provided you tone down your aggression. Just remember the people on here are just volunteers.
