So best I can tell since I have a Google Apps account I can't use Google Fi, at least not right now. So if I get a true gmail account to sign up for Fi, it shouldn't be a problem to add my Google Apps account and use it for my Google services (Gmail, Play store, YouTube, etc.) right?

Correct. That's what I do. My google apps account is actually the main account on my phone with all my phone settings, contacts, etc. Only the Fi service (and a few other things) use the Gmail account.

Thanks for confirming. My wife and I are coming up on our contracts being up and we are starting to look into what to do next so this helps. I appreciate it.

I thought Google was one account for everything? My gmail is for my phone, apps, fi, and everything else

You can add additional accounts to Android right now. I'm assuming you order and setup Fi through the gmail.com account and then you add in the Apps account and use it for the apps you need like gmail and the play store. You could essentially ignore the gmail.com account for anything but stuff related to Fi.

But again that is a guess on my part and part of the reason why I asked the question.

I hope that Google allows Google Apps subscribers to leverage Project Fi soon! Having two Google accounts on my device isn't the most user-friendly experience.
