Files not saving to SD card

[AC Question]

I have an s7 edge and I've tried 3 different times to move my photo files and 3 different times to move the music files. Each time it says they're moved. I go into storage and it says that the SD card has so many gbs used and so many remaining. The device storage is lower also. Then when I go back into my files and check the SD card the files no longer are in the SD card. Then I check my files and half to 75 percent of files (music and or photos ) are missing from my device. Then I have to do the mobile transfer from my old device to my new device in order to recover the files.

Maybe SD card not formatted properly?
