Finally Getting a Nexus 5 - Tether Question

Lesser of two evils :) At least with AT&T, they can't control which phone you can use with their network. I will never use a CDMA carrier for this reason alone.

Very valid point. That's one of the reasons I'm switching. That and saving over $600 a year.

Not exactly true. There are many threads on the forums that talk about getting around tethering. I've never seen a mod close anything for it yet so not sure if an official rule has been established.

Actually, I have after the thread was pointed out.

I'm not trying to get around anything, though. I know it will come with my plan as I'll be on a shared plan. A federal appeals court has already said that they can't charge you anything for it on a shared plan as you already pay for that data. I just wanted to know if I needed a specific app or just go through the settings to turn it on. That's all.

Well maybe a mod can tell us. I've seen tons of talk on it without any interjection so not sure :).

I use tethering on my Nexus 5 regularly on my 6GB Rogers data plan. Works very well, especially with LTE.

Very easy to setup and use. I made a shortcut on my homescreen to jump right to tethering (to save a click or two)
