Finally Got S26U but now not getting Notifications

My BB phone finally showed up yesterday and just spent all morning logging back into apps. Hardly any notifications are coming through despite going through each app individually and turning off and on. Not getting any gmail notifications but wonder if the fact my old phone is still on without a SIM. Could that be causing issues?

Something wonky going on? Did I miss something?

I had that happen in Gmail. What worked for me was going into settings<inbox notifications<and make sure label notifications and notify for every message is checked. Also, make sure sync Gmail is turned on. Obviously this is assuming all other notification settings are turned on.

Sometimes this can happen with a transfer between devices

There are few settings you have to go over but usually uninstall the app that's giving the issue then install again fixes this .

Device care check apps put to sleep

Check if each app is default in optimize not restricted

Check settings>notifications layout

Check settings> lock screen layout

Strange. I just left phone alone last night and Viola Gmail and Google messages just started appearing without doing anything.

Only other issue now is my Google calendar did not seem to copy off settings correctly but I have no idea how to correct that...

Go to settings>accounts and back up>manage account tap the ones are tied to your calendar see if syncing is enabled

This happened with my wife using the transfer from her S22U to S26U. She rebooted, fixed app notification settings and rebooted again and seems to be working now. Sometimes it takes a couple reboots...
