Find duplicate photos

Following the instructions in FILES BY GOOGLE, the CLEAN icon doesn't show duplicate photos. How do I find duplicate photos? Thanks.

Have you toggled on Free up Space in the Settings as pictured?

Are all of the photos stored locally to the phone, or are a lot of them in the cloud only? Files by Google can only detect duplicates that are saved locally on the phone.

Google Photos doesn't have a way of searching for duplicates, at least as of 3 years ago: https://support.google.com/photos/t...-an-easy-way-to-delete-duplicate-photos?hl=en
