Find My Device on phone 1 finds device, same app on phone 2 says Can't reach device

As the title says, I have the exact same Find My Device app from Google on 2 different phones. I needed to find a third phone. On one of the first two phones, the app found the third phone. On the second phone, the app said "Can't reach device." Yes, it was connected to the internet.

How could the same app have different results?

It was on wifi but I just switched to data, same result.

Is it unreachable from both of the other phones?
Sign out of Google on all 3, then sign back in.
In Settings of the phone you could not find, make sure it is discoverable in the app.

You can try what the poster mention , log out then back in your account

Glad it worked out. It could have been a couple of things. When a common account is the thread tying the phones together, resetting their connection is near the top of decision tree.
