Fingerprint scan option to unlock screen not available, how do i fix that?

Fingerprint scan not available to unlock screen, greyed out, says turned off by administrator, encryption policy or credential storage.
How can I make it available?

I guess you could go into Settings, Security, Phone Administration, and also Credential Storage in the same place, and change the settings if you can. Whether it would be wise to do so, I don't know.
