I've had my V10 for a little over a week now, but I've come to the conclusion that my FPS doesn't so much respond to a touch or a slide of my finger, but rather a tap.

I have both index fingers programmed, and it works the same way with both of them. It works the same way with and without my Spigen case.

Find the power button, pull your finger back a fraction, and tap. Or tap with a tiny bit of slide.

Might be just my unit, I dunno. But I think the whole "your fingers must be touching the metal sides of the case" thing is pure bunk. My FPS works the same way with and without the Spigen case.

Needing to touch the metal sides of the phone is definitely bunk. Mine works just fine with or without cases on it. I have not experienced the tap thing you have...I just do a light touch on mine.

i have noticed the screen needs to be on. So if the screen is off, and I touch the FPS, nothing.

If I double tap the screen, but it is still locked, then touch the FPS, works like a charm

Yes--push the power button, hold your finger for a beat, and it turns on and unlocks. (Or, like you say, double tap the screen and then touch the FPS.)

Except when it doesn't. Then you slide your finger around a bit, and it still doesn't. It's at this point that pulling back a tad and giving the button a tap unlocks it.

Ya, I have posted a couple times that touching the sides in nonsense. There are some on the board who will reply with name calling but logically it is rather out there.
