I did some yard work yesterday and didn't use gloves. Even after washing my hands thoroughly and drying them the s10+ had some issues in reading my thumb prints. But you know why that was? It was because my thumb was sore due to repeated abrasion with tools and soil.

For me the thumb seems to work better for me but I do have some issues with messages popping up saying press harder but there's gonna always be issues with the fingerprint sensor, it isn't gonna be perfect, even not in today's technology...

With ultrasonic sensors. With capacitive sensors the only problem is winter. And a quick finger insertion into the mouth cures that.

Actually it's the same problem but ultrasonic are more sensitive to it.... Much more.
It doesn't require winter on ultrasonic
Gutsy. With the brilliant decision to remove the iris scanner, the facial recognition is considerably less secure. It's more like portrait recognition

I unlocked mine 40 consecutive times last night without a glitch. It isn't perfect but I've gotten it to work quite well. Dry skin is it's biggest enemy so it's not great for someone who works outdoors or is in cold weather a lot.

I noticed mine was really slow, after changing some settings, it's perfect now.
1) when adding fingerprints, only add it in the position you normally unlock your phone, don't adjust your finger. For example, when I unlock, my thumb its sideways like I'm typing on the keyboard, when it says to adjust your finger, keep it sideways and just capture more area of your finger.
2) Go to settings > biometric and security > biometrics preferences > turn off screen transition affects.
3) change the animations in developer options. I changed mine to .5. You can Google how to do this, it's well documented and I don't have to re-type it all out here
After changing these settings, it's super fast for me, way faster than it used to be.

You are welcome, made a huge difference from me and I don't hate using the scanner anymore.
Yeah, this is why I am hoping that they keep the iris scanner on the Note 10. The hole punch is not worth the loss of certain features.
By default this is enabled, I wonder if this "hack" works with it turned off?
