Fingerprint sensor not working after update??

Fingerprint sensor has been very laggy and not picking up after update to 12. Anyone else notice difference? It was great, one of the best phones I've had it on but now sucks.

Try turning on Enhanced Screen Sensitivity in the settings, if it's not on already, and see if that helps.

Or try removing the fingerprints you have registered now and re-add them.

The fingerprint sensor had never been good on my s21 5g ever. I have tried everything but still poor response. I did find that wiping my finger prior works very good. This is where apples face id kills all other ways period.

have you tried it in safe mode? see if you're having the same issue in safe mode

also, try submitting an error report if you think it's a software bug after the update (Samsung Members app > + Button > Error report)

The Android 12 update was FINALLY available for my S21 Ultra yesterday. After everything was installed and updated I checked the fingerprint reader and mine works just as well, maybe even slightly better, than before the update. I added a screen protector to it and the enhanced touch sensitivity option is turned off.

My husband said his worked better mine was worse I had to delete mine and redo them. Mines good now.
