As above, it works on all my banking apps, PayPal etc but as soon as I put my screen protector on its a no go. Have re enrolled my prints through the glass(takes even longer than usual!) but it still won't work, won't even open the phone

Wow that really is a nightmare. Was planning on getting a protector today, may now pass. Can I ask which protector you're using?

Can I also ask.. Are you getting weird click sounds, mostly when you hit a video?

Got this one before any reviews as I've used Case flex products on other phones and they've been great. I've got their phone case for the Mate 20 Pro and it's fine. This screen protector is crap, don't buy. Screenshot_20181028_095021_com.amazon.mShop.android.shopping.jpeg

Thanks, I'll stay clear from that one. Have you tried calling Huawei support about the fingerprint issue? I can't imagine the fingerprint is unusable with a screen protector covering it.. Huawei wouldn't do that... Would they?

Good thinking, I'll give it a go. I don't like the plastic film covers that you can buy but I'd rather have one of them than nothing at all. I'll keep this glass one on til I can find something better

AFAIK this uses an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, so a glass screen protector would change the acoustics.

Got similar protector to above and fingerprint scanner doesn't work. It does say on phone that scanner may not work with a screen protector

Ouch, this is not good. I never did have a Screen Protector on mine as it came as a review device.

Where "change" means that the sound waves are being blocked by the protector, so they're being "changed" to silence. It's like putting black film over the camera lens, then not getting any pictures. Glass blocks ultrasonic sound (and plastic passes a little bit but messes up so badly that it probably also wouldn't work - which makes an in-screen fingerprint sensor a bad idea. You have to go around with a naked phone.

I think I'll keep the glass protector on if that's the case, the in screen sensor is a great idea but I'd rather use the face unlock as its very fast and a pin number for my banking apps etc. Thanks for your input Rukbat, you're always a font of top info

I'm here to update with that tempered glass. Only worked fine after a few times. It'll fail to recognized my fingerprint many times in a row. Hardly works at all. I guess plastic screen protector is the way to go.

I ordered one just like that and arrived yesterday. Works like a charm. Ill update in a couple of days

My other screen protector worked with no issues, I replaced it with the tempered I mentioned earlier.

That screen protector had no issues recognizing the fps for the 4 days I had on. Hopefully this works just as fine

Ok just fitted this tonight and it was pretty straightforward.....half a dozen tiny bubbles under the screen protector which, apparently, will disappear in a few hours. Quite a good fit, curves round the edges nicely. Fingerprint reader works absolutely fine, Will give feedback tomorrow on weather the bubbles disappear.
Just ordered this from Amazon UK... Will give it a go and report backView attachment 293735View attachment 293736

I have mine for the past few days and I have zero issues. Plastic screen protectors are the way to go

Bubbles will disappear in a few hours.
