Fingerprints & encryption

I've got a galaxy S6 edge and want to know that if I encrypt my phone, can I still use the fingerprint sensor to unlock the phone after I use the password to get into it after the initial encryption process? I really like using the fingerprint sensor rather than having to enter a password.

You have that option as far as I know. Just need to set it up that way.
