Okay I tried everything and the process kept failing on Odin. I made sure that I've downloaded the right version of the firmware (SM-N920V / Android 7.0). The good news is that I've backed up my apps and music last month. I'm thinking the bootloader itself is corrupted since I can't get to the recovery mode. What do people usually do with bricked phones? Also, thanks for all your help.
