Firmware Update Gear S3

it may be with AT&T in certain markets only at the moment I reset my watch and it still is at the old version
 
Bluetooth only models get it upon release, unfortunately carrier's have to tweak it before it's released if you're running a carrier connected model...
 
Had my classic(bluetooth only)sent in for repair. Before sending it in, it asked if I want to update. I didn't as there was no need as I was sending it in.

Now after receiving it back from Samsung, my version is still 2.3.x.x and will not update. Just says current updates already applied. Been trying now for a week and nothing.
 
I've done reboots, resets, uninstalled all apps on phone and then factory reset. Updating and not updating the weather app Nothing is fixing this. And it won't even record steps. I've got all the options turned off that I can (no wifi, no diagnostics, no auto heart rate etc). No reply from Samsung either but that is hardly surprising. Overheating when charging as well unless it is turned off.

It was fully charged after lunch today and only 3 hours later is down to 55%

I really like it when it works but this is ridiculous! It's over a week since the update so if it was going to settle down it should have done by now.

If you have a Twitter account blow them up on there. I've been trying to get premium care on my note for 2 months now and I just trashed it on Twitter and they got me in touch with assurant to get it figured out.
 
anyone know if Tizen 3 will communicate with Omron blood pressure application that works with their Bluetooth BP devices?
 
I'm getting about 8-9% less after a 2 day period than what I used to get before the update (Notifications on, NFC on, HR/10min, location on). Tried a factory reset but results are similar.

I'm guessing you mean't uninstalled all the apps on the WATCH and not your phone?

How long have you had the watch? I've had mine for....well I don't remember how long I've had mine, but I updated to 3.0 and have not had any issues. The problems you state sound like a bad watch. As far as settling down after the update, a properly functioning watch wouldn't have to settle down, it would just work.
 
why do I still not have the update? I go into the gear app and choose download updates manually and it doesn't update the watch. I am not using the cell service because AT&T numbersync sucks and doesn't work reliably.

Your has a cellular radio in it so the update has to come from the carrier that it works with. It does not matter that you don't use the cellular part.
 
okay I just turned on the cellular radio on the watch but it says Sim not provisioned so how do I force the update?
 
on phone with att who says update not available yet for my area. wtf. anyone in Ohio on ATT have the update?

I don't know. AT&T requires a second line to provision the sim in the S3. Ask them about the update.
 
Let them work out the bugs before they push the LTE versions. I can wait.
